(road to the skeleton coast also has a patreon it’s patreon dot com slash better sandwich. if you’re debating between the two i’d rather you pick that one, i get half either way, i just think brendan gets it this week. no offense to david, it is his fault, but i really wanna go for the two point conversion this week. do you know how long he’s been bragging about getting jeremy bolm on this show? i don’t think he knew about the pandemic until april, you couldn’t reach the guy. before he went into surgery in december, he called me from the hospital phone, right before his surgery, to talk about the time jeremy came over. comes out, it’s like he never left. of course then he stopped for a minute to complain on the internet about his insurance not covering his bill. that bill was 15% surgery and 85% phone calls. to me. about jeremy from touche amore, coming on as you were. that was tuesday after wrestlemania 34, when he came over. i remember because i went to new orleans and came back with a leaking appendix, can you believe that? spent the whole weekend in bed, got through wrestlemania 34 on mtn. dew and adderall, and talk about a disappointing show. why couldn’t they just let aj and nakamura go for 25 minutes? unbelievable. i’ve moved twice since that episode and waited a year before that appendix nearly did me in. and i’ll never forget, that morning going into surgery, doc comes out to knock me out, i look up and who do i see in the stadium seats. he’s got a set of beats by dre headphones, the headphones of music critics everywhere, and he looks at me and says “just listening to the queen of pain episode we did with jeremy, remember how i got him to come over?” that’s the last thing i remember. then i woke up.)
