Remastered 01/16/23 - I wasn't thrilled with the previous upload so cleaned up the audio and made the listening experience all the better... and tighter, shaving almost a minute-thirty. Enjoy this newly remastered version!

No, that's no runtime error. It's a shorter one for you today, one that I hope you are not... adverse to. It speaks on adversity in gaming, the business world, and social media presence. What are your thoughts on this topic? I'd love to hear them!

AM - Prep yo self

Prep time prior to a tabletop RPG can be it's own art form. Some GM's skip prep all-together and just wing it. Others spend countless hours to ensure an incredible experience is had. But what if there's another way to approach your next pre-session?
Special shoutout: Radio Grognard, specifically episode 1285 "Tailor Your Prep".

This one may seem quite maddening, but I thought what if I just decided to catch up with all the prompts I didn't get to cover and do lightning rounds with each? As I did my notes for quite a few of these, they sparked ideas for future episode topics I want to elaborate on, so quantity over quality has won the day... or at least this special.
This episode covers the following word prompts, not necessarily in this exact order:
7 Couple
8 Shade
9 Light
10 Want
11 Stack
12 Message
13 Rest
15 Frame
16 Dramatic
17 Comfort
18 Meet
19 Tower
20 Investigate
21 Push
22 Rare
23 Edge
24 Humour
25 Lever
26 Strange
27 Flavour
28 Close
29 Ride
30 Portal
Those not showing were done either in previous episodes of Aqualith AM or can be found linked on Twitter.com/aqualithmedia under #RPGaDay2020, which is this year's tag shared across all social media for anyone to participate in a unique and fun exercise sparked by a list of keywords every participant elaborates on through tweeting, blogging, recording audio/video... painting even. There's literally no wrong way to express the daily concept, provided it's tagged appropriately so everyone can find it. The what and why can be found at Autocratik's blog.

This bonus episode of Aqualith AM is covering the fourth day's prompt, "Vision". This one goes longer than previous, and I took a more crunchy approach by reading through the rulings on vision in various darkened areas. Less commentary from me, but I hope that in listening, you might pick up on the differences and use of voice for each. I would love to extrapolate on these concepts further in the future. RPG-a-Day has enabled me to do some experimentation and see what works, while also stretching my ability to solo-podcast, which I have not done for a good fifteen years. I welcome feedback on this style of presentation as well as on the subject and rules when it comes to vision in the comments.
Games featured in this episode
Cypher System
Labyrinth Lord

You may of heard the term 'banner year' floated around in some circles, but today I'm banking off Day 14 of #RPGaDay2020's word prompt, "Banner" with banner session. I forgot to ask at the end of the recording but, what's your banner session?
