01/14/21 • 28 min

You may have noticed that this isn't a normal episode! We had to delay our episode release to next week due to a potential Covid-19 exposure in our household. Thankfully, we are all Covid free and doing fine, but we decided to release a piece of bonus content as a thank you for your patience.
Welcome to Hell on Wheels: our limited series about Sun and Iris' wild summer serving ice cream at festivals and events all over New England! In this introductory episode, we talk about how Hell's mobile ice cream unit came to be and why we got stuck with it. We're hoping for this to be a nine-part series, so please let us know if you like this first episode and want to see more!
You can listen to the second episode right now by joining our Patreon at any level! You will also gain access to other amazing bonus content (like Fun Facts With Fox) and behind the scenes (like family recipes and polls to choose our episode topics).
Thank you so much for helping support our family by listening! If you loved this episode, please subscribe, tell your friends, and leave a comment. You can also find us on Instagram, Tumblr, and Twitter.

And They Were Roommates - The One Where We Quarantined

Thank you all for your patience while we dealt with our Covid scare! For this week, we decided to document our experience quarantining from each other in a special episode. Sage was in an isolation hotel, Fox was in Maine on an unintentionally prolonged visit to their parents, all while Sun and Iris had to figure out how to isolate from each other in our home. Thankfully we have all tested negative, went through a full two week quarantine, and are back home together now! As a note, we recorded this episode before the events of January 6th, which is why they aren't addressed.
Stick around till the end of the episode to hear the very exciting way Sun and Sage kicked off the new year (Spoiler Alert: there may be a ring involved!)

Small housekeeping note: our normal transcript is delayed due to the quick turnaround on this episode, but Sage is working to get it out asap!

Hey lovelies! Thank you all for rolling with our week delay so we could all get the covid vaccine, recover, and take a short vacation. (Also sorry, Thursday did not happen in our house, so happy Friday!) I am so excited for y'all to listen to this episode about therapy, giving feedback, and some weird fun questions we decided to ask each other during our intermission.

We had so much fun doing the questions that we ran overtime! The second half of that question section is up as March bonus content on our Patreon!

Our closed polycule of four (the Quaple) is launching a podcast: And They Were Roommates! Our podcast is about modern love, life, and everything in between. This is the Story of Us, our backstory episode and a sneak peek of what’s to come. Listen to the story of how we all found love (and found each other).

This episode we went through some of the questions you folks sent in and decided to just get a whole bunch done in one fell swoop!

Our topics ending up spanning things from serious to fun: coming out, weird fears and joys, being demiromantic, and some stuff about our anniversary and relationship. We really had fun doing a listener question special, so let us know if this format works for you and if you'd like to see us do it again from time to time.

In this episode we discuss hobbies, making your brain pay out those GOOD neurotransmitters, and managing chronic pain in your relationships. Our intermission was also our first ever attempt at a Fun Facts With Fox (it was before we added shorter times, but we still think it's a fun listen!) As a peek behind the curtain, this is also our last episode that we recorded before we officially launched.

And They Were Roommates - 2: How to Not Hate Everyone You Live With
play

12/31/20 • 56 min

This episode we discuss living with other people, creating boundaries, and answer a listener question about jealousy! As a little peek behind the curtain, this and the next two episodes were actually recorded before our pilot so there is, unfortunately, no funny interlude in the middle of this one. However, it means we provided a full 56 minutes of (good?) advice!
