After Jesus was resurrected from the dead He revealed Himself to two of His disciples (Luke 24) who were traveling on the road to Emmaus. He did this by giving them a Bible study. Now He might have performed a miracle or shinned like the sun but He thought it was important to have them base their faith on the sure foundation of the Word of God.
