AB 337: A Food Lover's Guide to Business with Andrew Zimmern
All Business with Jeffrey Hayzlett
03/26/21 • 35 min
Andrew Zimmern almost needs no introduction. He’s been a staple on TV for years, eating bizarre foods around the world, highlighting the commonality of food across cultures. Now, he has a new show coming to the Magnolia Network called “Family Dinner,” which is already streaming for Discovery+ subscribers. While the interview started with TV talk, it quickly turned to dinner, mainly what the pandemic is doing to the restaurant business, what its future might look like, and how hard it is for restaurateurs to get stimulus money. Andrew also opens up about his sobriety and why he’s such a deep thinker. His episode was one of most-listened-to of 2020 and he didn’t disappoint this time around either.

Video games are hot, and the industry is projected to be worth $256 Billion by 2025. Anything considered retro is making a comeback right now and today’s guest on All Business encompasses the best of both worlds. Tommy Tallarico is the CEO of Intellivision Entertainment, a company bringing back its classic game console with a modern twist. Tommy says instead of people playing video games alone, the Intellivision Amico is designed for people of all ages to play together. It’s even baked into the console’s name, Amico, which means ‘friend’ in Italian. During the discussion, Tommy and C-Suite Network Chief Community Officer, Tricia Benn, talk about the struggles of making something old new again.

AB 231 Live! Zig While Others Zag with Andy Lefkowitz and Linda Popky
All Business with Jeffrey Hayzlett
05/12/20 • 49 min
In business real success happens when you go against the grain. Both of our guests today on All Business saw the opportunities where others didn’t – and they reaped the benefits.
Agriculture is more than an idyllic vision of a green farm field. The industry itself isn’t the most environmentally friendly and has been impacted by a number of factors outside their control. Our first guest Andy Lefkowitz, Chairman and CEO of Locus Fermentation Solutions, a company that uses probiotics to help farmers grow crops. Locus is not just focused on farming, but in developing cleaner ways of getting oil out of the ground. Jeffrey and Andy talk about the benefits of going natural and going back to basics.
The second half of the show Linda Popky, President of Leverage2Market Associates, joins Jeffrey to talk about finding opportunities during the pandemic. Both Jeffrey and Linda agree now is the time to run into the fire, not sit on the sidelines, and now is the time to rise above the noise. While there may be more outlets than ever to get your message out, the basics of marketing are as old as time. Linda and Jeffrey also talk about the importance of writing a book, how to do it and how to use it strategically to build your brand.

AB 391: Good Comes First with Chris Edmonds and Mark Babbitt
All Business with Jeffrey Hayzlett
03/22/22 • 28 min
There's a "quiet revolution" happening in businesses of all sizes according to today's guests. Employees now realize they have a voice and aren't satisfied with "classic industrialized working environments." But what do employees want? A company that does good, according to Mark Babbitt and Chris Edmonds. They recently co-authored the book, "Good Comes First: How Today's Leaders Create an Uncompromising Company Culture that Doesn't Suck." Mark and Chris say company culture was mostly ignored by past generations, but it's important to millennials and Gen Z. If bosses don't create a culture employees value, younger workers will leave, and not think twice about it. They add, younger workers’ behavior is making an impression with other workers, who are more willing to leave bad culture as well. So, how do you build a good culture? Chris and Mark have some ideas. You'll have to listen to this episode and find out.

From eating bugs to breaking bread across cultures, our first guest today knows a lot about food. Old friend, Peter Shankman, joins Jeffrey for the second part of the show.
