Recovering from a Season of Setbacks + the process of grief
A Work in Progress: My Personal and Professional Development Diary
04/05/22 • 56 min
For my hurting souls: In 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 the word says that we are delivered from the power and authority of darkness. It states that we cast down all reasoning and imaginations that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of God’s word.
The light that God has instilled in you is bright enough to fight off the darkness around you. You have been enriched, and as such, you must enrich others through the word.
You have been delivered from failure! You have been delivered from fear! On days where you can’t see the light, know that it is within you, and that darkness cannot overtake it!

As the waiting season continues for me in my road to medical school, I realized that I am not alone in my waiting. There are several of you who may also be going through your own waiting season, whether waiting for acceptances to college, or for exam scores back, or in other areas of life.
I am so blessed to say that I have felt an enormous amount of peace the past few weeks, and I think that I have finally figured out the rules to the waiting game. So today, I want to encapsulate my thoughts, and share them with you, in the hopes that they can help you through your waiting season.

the SororiTEA: college was traumatizing + advice to my freshman self
A Work in Progress: My Personal and Professional Development Diary
08/20/21 • 78 min
There are so many exciting parts about college, a lot of it that is publicized are the social perks of going to college.
College experience is different for everybody but what's crazy is how college is a perfect dream for some people, and for others its a nightmare.
It's even crazier to see how the experiences are different for different schools, races and genders.
I got stuck on Alabama Rush Tik Tok this week, and as I caught up on all the OOTDs and learned about a huge scandal that was sweeping the internet, I began to think about how traumatizing college can be.
Here are my thoughts. This is the soroiTEA
