Women Drivers: The W Series
Will the new women-only W Series encourage females into top level motor racing or just segregate them? When David Coulthard and his team announced a new racing series, just for women, it split opinion. Some were aghast that such a series should exist condemning it as ‘segregation’ at it’s worst. Other’s welcomed the move in an aim to address the imbalance in the sport which hasn't seen a female compete at the top level for well over 25 years. Jennie Gow is joined by Catherine Bond-Muir, Jamie Chadwick, Flick Haigh and Sophie Williamson- Stothert to discuss the good and bad of the W Series, plus we hear from key figures in motorsport such as David Coulthard and Bernie Ecclestone.
