We discuss Pasifika privilege in all its forms. With the rise of artists such as Onefour & Hooligan Hefs describing their struggles growing up in poverty in Western Sydney as Pasifika- Australians, there is still an amount of Pasifika who have grown up in middle class/upper class households. Why don’t Pasifika discuss their middle class privilege? Do they know their privilege? Are they aware of their privilege? Why do we project the ‘Struggle Street’ narrative on all Pasifika in Australia? It is easy for us to discuss the privilege we don’t have but are other Pasifika. Cribbs and Talica discuss this big topic that touches on classism and the community.
