Derek Stewart

Derek Stewart - Podcaster Interviewing Entrepreneurs Running the FASTEST GROWING Companies in Australia

Discovering that accounting was not for him, and having caught the travel bug, Derek packed his life into a 12kg backpack and moved to Manila, Philippines to do an internship with an Australian outsourcing company. He jumped into the deep end, despite taking the job before ever having visited Asia, launching head first and not looking back. Starting in a new job, in a new industry, moving to a city where he knew no one, and a continent he had never visited before was just the beginning. The journey and adventure of expatriating and coming with nothing but his instincts and judgement to survive and thrive took him through a roller coaster of ups and downs, and an amazing period of self-learning and self-improvement. To say it was life changing would be an understatement.

After spending nearly half a decade across Asia, working for fast growing Aussie-led companies, helping Aussie small businesses and entrepreneur clients go global, think bigger and achieve more, he returned home to Melbourne. Believing that entrepreneurship, business, new enterprise, capitalism, big ideas and innovation will be the building blocks and motor driving Australia forward he created the "FUTURE OF AUSTRALIA" project, to interview the Founders, CEOs and Entrepreneurs behind the fastest growing new businesses in Australia. "FUTURE OF AUSTRALIA" is about interviewing, celebrating and sharing the knowledge, aspirations, struggles, goals and achievements of these people with a broader audience.

I absolutely love personal development! When we become life-long learners, we can achieve great things! While completing my doctorate degree in education, I taught as an adjunct professor at five different universities in two years, then realized academia was not for me. I'd obtained a PhD, but had no desire to use those credentials in the traditional career path. After 12 years of service in nearly every role in learning and development (corporate trainer, instructional designer, program manager, and educational researcher), I found my calling. Most of us have a desire to leave a legacy, to give back, to share lessons learned from a fulfilled life. I help entrepreneurs do just that. My skills and passion are now serving a consulting business I own that helps authors and entrepreneurs transform their unique subject matter expertise into learning products that transform people’s lives. When I'm not building learning products, I am building or renovating homes in Austin, TX. In the past two years, I purchased and renovated five rental units (doing much of the work myself). Now, I earn enough passive income to do only work that I love, driving positive transformation through learning. You can learn more about my consulting company at: bydesigndevelopmentsolutions.com. Rocky Lalvani-

Rocky Lalvani: My story is a little different than those of most financial experts. I spent my working career outside of the financial industry because I didn't like the products and advice they were providing and didn’t feel comfortable recommending them to others. During my working career, I built my wealth through old-fashion savings and investing.

I grew up as an immigrant to the United States after my parents immigrated from India. They were only allowed to bring $25 with them and had to start over in life. While growing up, it was normal for all the parents to have conversations about money. How much things cost, how much they spent, and how much people earned. We observed the way they were making wise decisions, and the community quickly achieved financial success. I never realized this wasn't how everyone else talked about money. I learned most people don’t talk about money and are more likely to share their sex lives than their money story. Once I achieved my financial goals, I had the time and space to think about how could I provide value to help people with their financials in a way I felt was honorable and in line with my core values. I learned that many small business owners were not looking at their financial reports, and more importantly, they were scared of them! I was dumbfounded. How can you be in business and not understand the business, I asked? The big aha came when I learned about Profit First and how it could help business owners ensure their financial success. Putting profit first was the same principle as pay yourself first, which was how I amassed wealth. I finally found a way that I could help business owners succeed in alignment with my values. Tahir Hussain-

Tahir Hussain: I grew up in Dubai, UAE, and although I came from a very humble family, I was able to start my own business at the age of seventeen. At twenty-one, I already had a million dollar business. By the time I was twenty-seven, I had earned my first million dollars in less than a year, leading me to become a multi-millionaire just one year later. I qualified as a software engineer after studying in the U.S. The world of business appealed a lot to me and I rose quickly in that world, became a financial planner, entrepreneur and peak sales performer. Since I love challenges, I took start up businesses and turned them into multi-million dollar businesses. In addition, my passion for growth in the real estate industry gained me an award by the Ruler’s office of Dubai, which was like a dream come true. During my course of success and immense wealth creation, I am proud to say that I have never worked for anyone else in my entire life nor I intend to do that ever. Packed with over eighteen years of real-life experiences in the business world, I was honoured to help thousands of people come out of their day to day job and taught them how to become successful entrepreneurs. The power of giving back and paying it forward is what drives me and that is why I share my success principles with others by being a life coach, a motivational speaker, an author and a personal development trainer to them. I am a proud owner of the Unstoppable Millionaire Academy, where individuals can learn more in-depth strategies about how to truly focus on and achieving their life-long dreams. The academy has created thousands of entrepreneurs in various countries around the world including Malaysia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, South Africa, Kenya, Thailand, Philippines, Australia, Romania, Germany, United Kingdom and many more.
