Welcome to One Man, One Woman, the Podcast. This is a safe space to speak about any topic from the male & female point of view. It is important that we have tough conversations without emotions getting out of control. The goal is to explore all subject matter without fear of judgment or ridicule. We live in a time where communication between people lacks consideration and understanding. Our hope is to show the world that men and women actually speak the same language. We are more than capable of respecting each other’s opinion even when we don’t agree. No matter the kind of ship: friendship, familyship, relationship etc., we can listen to understand and agree to disagree. Most importantly we can laugh, love and have fun, all while being on opposite ends of the spectrum regarding any topic. This is a place to learn how to trust, be vulnerable, open and honest. We’re glad you’re here to share this space with us.

We live in a world filled with material wealth, live longer and healthier lives, and yet anxiety, stress, unhappiness, and depression have never been more common. What are the driving forces behind these interlinked global epidemics? In this series, Professor Mark Williams (Wellcome Trust Principal Research Fellow at Oxford University) and Dr Danny Penman discuss the recent scientific advances that have radically altered our understanding of depression and related disorders. Also discussed is the latest treatments and therapies that are offering hope to those suffering from depression. Professor Williams co-developed Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), a treatment for anxiety, stress and depression that is at least as effective as drugs at preventing new episodes of depression. It's now one of the preferred treatments for depression recommended by the UK's National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence. The same technique, based upon an ancient form of meditation, can also help us cope more effectively with the relentless demands of our increasingly frantic world. Professor Williams and Dr Penman co-authored the bestselling book Mindfulness: Finding Peace in a Frantic World.

Where did money come from? How did people trade before inventing money? Was it a masterstroke or madness (or both) to let banks create money? Today money is generally accepted as payment for goods and services or repayment of debt. But governments still fret about whether there's too much (or too little) in circulation, economists can't agree on what it is, and the enduring popularity of alternative or crypto-currencies shows rumbling discontent with the official version. These 10 short animations chart the evolution of money from stones and whale teeth to modern monetary policy and banking, and takes a hard look at money's role in economic crises. The material in this collection relates to The Open University course DD103 Investigating the social world.

How can psychology, science and spirituality contribute to the healing of our souls and our planet? How can we draw upon our inner resources of wisdom, strength, acceptance, peace and joy?“What Matters: Conversations” explores how, in these uncertain times, we can connect with the richness of our inner world and make a difference in the outer world through the framework of the transpersonal psychology: psychosynthesis. Dr. Roberto Assagioli, the 20th century Italian psychiatrist and founder of psychosynthesis, called his approach "a spiritual psychology founded in the synthesis of western positive science and eastern esoteric wisdom." Through the theory, maps and tools of psychosynthesis we become better able to align and ignite our inner resources, live more harmoniously and cooperatively with others, and honor both humanity and the earth that is our home. Join us with our hosts, Craig Behenna and Christina Gustafson, in conversation with psychosynthesis practitioners in the fields of coaching, health and healing, business, spirituality, education and the arts - conversations to inform and inspire, to awaken your purpose and create your life.

Scientists throughout the world are increasingly interested in the relationship between science and society. Part of their concern is with the social responsibilities scientists have in relation to broader public interests. That raises important issues to do with the ethical and social dimension of scientists' work and how scientists explain – and perhaps justify – their work to the wider public.
