The best podcasts for the very best tips to be a better podcaster.

Who am I?

I'm the host of One Minute Podcast Tips, Pod Chat, and several other podcasts. I've been in the podcasting space for over 10 years, and have the scars to prove it. I'm the Head of Podcaster Support and Experience at Captivate.fm, the world's only growth-oriented podcast hosting, distribution, analytics, and monetization platform. I live in beautiful Muskoka, Ontario, Canada with my wife and two kids, where I spend winters in front of a cozy fire and summers by the lake. Podcasting is a huge part of my life, both professionally and personally, and one of the things I love most about it is the genuine sense of community. With very few exceptions, everyone genuinely wants to help each other grow and be better. Because of this, there are some amazing podcasters doing great stuff when it comes to helping others with their podcasts, from newcomers to veterans alike. Whether that's super short tips to build a library of knowledge on the art of podcasting, or more technical to help with the ins and outs of hardware, software, etc, these podcasters are helping others fall in love with the medium too. That's why I love this industry - when one podcaster grows, we all do.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

There are some great podcasts, by even greater podcasters, that share tips and insights on being a better podcaster, and some of these are on this list. This can range from marketing and growth, to equipment and working with sponsors, and more. Each podcaster that I've listened to, and who have helped me grow, have brought a wealth of knowledge, and have let me go as deep as I want when it comes to learning. For my show One Minute Podcast Tips, I wanted to do something a little different. Given how finite all our time is when it comes to how we spend our days, each episode offers a specific tip - editing, legal side of podcasting, how many ads to have, perfect episode length, etc. But here's the difference - each tip is only one minute long, or less. This makes them short, punchy soundbites that you can binge on in one sitting, or add to your end of day listening before switching off for the day. Simply choose the tips that you're curious about and enjoy! And if there's a tip you want to hear about, let me know via voice message on the site (where you can also support the show with a one-off donation if you want!). https://oneminutepodcasttips.com/

What is my podcast playlist about?

Each podcast included in this playlist brings you the very best podcast tips to be a better podcaster. Every podcaster brings something different, whether they're a newer podcaster or industry veteran, and hopefully gives you the tips and insights you need to grow as a podcaster, and your show along with that.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. The Podcast Accelerator: How to Grow Your Podcast

Why this podcast?

My go-to recommendation for any podcaster looking to improve. Mark is a well-respected industry veteran, who doesn't pull any punches when it comes to what works and what doesn't work in podcasting. This means his insights and tips might ruffle some feathers, but he doesn't care because his show is meant for podcasters looking for genuine advice, not the easy soundbites that fake experts and shills dispense. If you only listen to one "podcast about podcasts", make it this one.
