Eerder was te horen hoe zijn route verliep naar een gedroomde eindtijd van 2.28.12 bij de Marathon Rotterdam op 24 oktober in 2021.
Hij wordt begeleid en gecoacht door twee toppers: Michel Butter en Guido Hartensveld. Butter (de nummer 6 van de New York Marathon en de vierde Nederlander ooit onder de 2u10) en Hartensveld (zijn vaste coach) schrijven zijn trainingsschema’s en geven hem adviezen. Al het coach-atleet-overleg vindt plaats in de podcast, zorgend voor een uniek inkijkje in een marathonvoorbereiding, vol dilemma’s waar elke loper mee te dealen heeft.
