How does creativity benefit our lives as grown-ups?
I'm Claire, and I re-found my creativity after a time of almost crippling anxiety. Now I want to share the stories of other people who have found or re-found their creativity as adults, and hopefully inspire many more grown-ups to get creative.
I chat with my guests about their childhood experiences of creativity and the arts, how they came to the creative practices they now love, the barriers they had to overcome to start their creative re-awakening, and how what they do now benefits their whole lives.

"The Visual Past” showcases the latest research by scholars who explore the visual, spatial, and material culture that shaped the Ottoman world. The series will address not only objects, images, and calligraphy, but also works of architecture that were themselves contexts for other media. Before being designated historical landmarks or enshrined in museum displays, these rich artistic and architectural products constituted an intrinsic part of Ottoman life, intersecting with and affecting all levels of society. Episodes in this series investigate crucial issues about sight and seeing in the Ottoman Empire, including the power of the gaze, the depiction of human and animal imagery, and questions of style, aesthetics, and patronage. The series also explores transformations in technology that opened up new possibilities during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries for the popular dissemination of images through photographs, print media, and film.

This collection transports you to Europe of 1600 to 1850. Many of the foundations of European culture were being laid: commerce, arts institutions, art displays, terraced houses ... even tattooing. Things we now take for granted in the fabric of our lives. Yet here we glimpse them through the eyes of a society for whom they weren’t yet set in stone. The shape of the urban environment was being defined. Yet there was a burgeoning nostalgia for all things rural, and a hunger for the trappings of other cultures. The decisions of this era still have an impact on our culture today. This material forms part of The Open University course A226 Exploring art and visual culture.

Welcome lovely humans, to my podcast „Sex and Art“. I am an artist and coach from Berlin, living in Linköping, Sweden. In this podcast I combine my passion for art and sex with my passion for very interesting people. Throughout my life, I met so many wise, crazy, lovely, exciting, and interesting people and I had tons of inspiring conversations. Now I want to bring these conversations to you. I’ll talk with artists, dancers, comedians, musicians, programmers, managers, writers, bodyworkers as well as tantrics, healers, priests, or just someone I deeply fell in love with. In every episode, you'll be allowed a peek into their world and we find out how they connect to art and sex. For me these two notions - art and sex - describe life. Some episodes you will find to be more about sex, some will be more about art, and recently therapy plays a big role, too. If you want to support this podcast please share, like and subscribe. Welcome home.
